Under these intense conditions, carbon atoms bond onto the seed and crystallise into a diamond, in a matter of weeks, rather than millions of years.

CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition)

CVD is a more recent and widely used method. The seed is placed in a sealed chamber filled with carbon-rich gases. These gases break down, and carbon atoms gradually layer onto the seed, crystallising into a diamond. CVD typically uses lower heat and pressure than HPHT and allows for greater control over the diamond's final quality.

Both methods yield the same result: a genuine diamond, grown from a seed, shaped by science, and finished by skilled craftspeople.

Lab Grown vs. Mined Diamonds: What's Actually Different?
